CFS - Ophthalmic Assistant
About The Position
Center For Sight is a multi-specialty physician practice providing ophthalmology, optometry, dermatology, and cosmetic facial surgery. The Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician role offers classroom and hands-on training for people starting a career in ophthalmology, including applicants without previous medical-field experience. The role works alongside ophthalmic surgeons and optometrists to support patient care and improve patients’ vision. The employee will learn to perform diagnostic testing and examinations and provide doctors with medical information that supports patient treatment. Training also offers a path toward advanced, internationally recognized certification. This is a full-time position and may require travel to other locations as necessary.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer-service focus.
- Ability to learn and apply complex concepts in daily work.
- Ability to communicate warmly and empathetically with patients.
- Team-oriented approach and interest in helping and supporting others.
- Motivation and resilience to grow a medical career.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the medical field.
