About The Position

Sight360 is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Scribe to support physicians and help deliver an outstanding patient experience in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves preparing patients and exam rooms, performing diagnostic testing, documenting patient encounters in real time, and supporting clinical flow and patient care. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of experience working as an ophthalmic scribe.
Ability to navigate EHR software.
Working knowledge of ophthalmic and medication terminology, equipment, and CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Working knowledge of basic ocular anatomy.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven quality experience demonstrated through historical work or achievements.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Highly developed organizational skills and comfort working under time-sensitive deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.

Nice To Haves

Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform and document ocular testing, including refractions, lensometry, tonometry, visual fields, OCTs, topography, Amsler grids, muscle testing, pupil exams, and related diagnostics.
Prepare patients for examination and assist with patient flow.
Accurately document patient visits, treatment plans, and physician discussions in real time.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
Prepare exam rooms, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate testing and surgical needs.
Communicate physician instructions to patients and referring providers.
Assist with patient calls, pharmacy requests, and general clinical support.
