About The Position

Spectrum Vision Partners (SVP) supports OCLI Vision, a large multi-specialty ophthalmology network in the U.S. The organization has more than 1,400 employees, over 60 clinic locations, and more than 110 providers, delivering eye care across all subspecialties.

The Ophthalmic Scribe/Tech supports providers and helps enhance the patient experience. The role includes performing pre-exam testing, documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR), assisting with examinations and procedures, and helping maintain smooth patient flow. The position contributes to physicians’ ability to diagnose and treat eye conditions.

Ophthalmology or medical office experience is preferred but is not required for the right candidate. Nice To Haves

• EMR experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus.
• Ophthalmology or medical office experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Perform distance, near, peripheral, depth, and color vision testing.
• Administer dilating, anesthetic, and medicated eye drops.
• Conduct routine and ancillary ophthalmic testing.
• Scribe and document provider findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Triage urgent cases and maintain patient flow.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms and assist physicians as needed.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow infection control and confidentiality standards.
