Our ideal candidate has a passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures, Patient history, Patient Work Up and administrative tasks. This is a floating position between locations Tunkhannock, Montrose and Mid Valley based on the needs of the business. Travel Time and Mileage are paid.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate
Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook, excel, word)

Responsibilities

Take medical histories and verify information
Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as tonometry, Visions, ERG, Neurolens
Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
Contact lens teaches
Explain how to properly use eye drops
Explain how to properly use contact lenses
Assist with inventory management
