About The Position
Emplify Health is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support its eye care practices. The role assists with patient care, including pre-testing for appointments, performing diagnostic tests, and supporting providers in delivering quality care. No prior optical experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The position is based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and may involve assisting at Emplify optometry locations in Viroqua, La Crosse, Onalaska, Tomah, Waukon, Decorah, Prairie du Chien, Black River Falls, Whitehall, Winona, Wabasha, Sparta, and Hillsboro. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the day, with no weekends or holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- At least 6 months of customer service and/or public relations experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care functions, including pre-testing for appointments.
- Perform various diagnostic tests.
- Support providers in delivering quality patient care.
- Provide a quality optical experience to patients and guests.
- Assist at Emplify optometry locations as needed.
