Requirements

College or University Degree in Chemistry or equivalent field.
Experience in the medical and/or pharmaceutical fields with typically 2 years of pertinent experience.
Good communication (both written and verbal in French & English).
Must understand general SOPs and have knowledge of GLP regulations.
Good organizational skills, attentive to details with respect to sample pretreatment procedures and raw data handling.
Manual dexterity essential.
Basic knowledge of mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities

Perform preliminary system test.
Start batches of various types of projects for all laboratory teams and monitor batch performance to promptly identify possible problems (e.g., retention time shifting, sensitivity drops, instrument communication problems).
Monitor instrument performance throughout the injection to perform troubleshooting, system interruption, and batch re-injection procedures and intervene where necessary.
Complete supplementary information forms as needed to complete documentation.
Perform specific instrument optimization by FIA on mass spectrometers, and optimization on HPLC UV/FL.
Summarize and enumerate essential points during “hand off” to the subsequent shift.
Assist in pre-study meetings.
Responsible for appropriate column care (e.g., maintenance, rinsing, replacement).
Create and maintain the daily injection schedule, establishing project priorities with team managers as needed.
Conduct all work in compliance with applicable SOPs, GCPs, GLPs, and observe all company guidelines and policies.
Respect Health and Safety standards in terms of personal protection, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures.
