Operator Level 1 - Reclaim
About The Position
As a Reclaim Apprentice, you’ll support the reclaim process across all transmission families while learning core reclaim skills. Working under direct supervision, you’ll contribute to daily tasks including cleaning and dismantling parts and moving materials between workstations. The role offers opportunities to develop hands-on mechanical skills and process knowledge while supporting team goals and ETE Core Values. This position may be located in the administrative section of a manufacturing facility. The work environment includes exposure to a variety of manufacturing-related smells and moderate noise from the manufacturing area. Eye protection and steel-toed footwear are required when entering the manufacturing floor. Candidates are subject to a pre-hire background check and may undergo for-cause and/or reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle used components with hand and power tools.
- Prepare parts for inspection using washers, chemicals, and manual methods.
- Move materials efficiently between workstations.
- Assist with sorting, tagging, and counting parts.
- Follow instructions and standard work under direct supervision.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Develop hands-on mechanical skills and process knowledge.
- Seek help and ask questions to build expertise.
- Support team goals and demonstrate ETE Core Values.
