About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to operate heavy equipment for earthwork projects. The role requires safe, controlled equipment operation, grading to elevations and tolerances, and proficiency on assigned machinery before advancing to another machine. Work hours may be adjusted to meet project needs, including days, nights, and weekends. The operator must be able to work in adverse weather and hot or cold temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety.
- Diligently demonstrate safe work practices.
- Be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Bridge & Road cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
- Grade to elevations and tolerances.
- Become proficient before advancing to another machine.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Adjust work hours to meet project needs, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Work in adverse weather conditions and hot or cold temperatures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
