About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to operate heavy equipment for earthwork projects. The role requires operating equipment safely and in a controlled manner, grading to elevations and tolerances, and becoming proficient on each machine before advancing to another. Work hours may be adjusted to meet project needs and may include days, nights, and weekends. The position may involve working in adverse weather and hot or cold temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety.
- Diligence in demonstrating safe work practices.
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
- Grade to elevations and tolerances.
- Become proficient on a machine before advancing to another machine.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
