About The Position
Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 2, Bakery – Depanner – 1st Shift for its bakery in Cayce, South Carolina. The role operates and adjusts bakery production equipment to support efficient production while ensuring products meet quality, food safety, and production standards. It helps maintain production flow, maximize equipment performance, and deliver products that meet customer and company expectations. The position requires first-shift work and weekend availability.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Basic equipment troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Availability to work weekends.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food manufacturing or food production environments.
- Experience operating automated production equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with production schedules, changeovers, and run orders.
Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust bakery production equipment to support efficient production operations.
- Monitor product quality and food safety standards for compliance with company requirements.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with GMP standards.
- Troubleshoot and communicate equipment or production issues to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment startups, changeovers, and daily production activities.
- Follow established recipes, production processes, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure product consistency.
