About The Position

Ryder is hiring an Operations Technician II in Nashville, TN. This role supports distribution across the US and involves managing inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors. The position utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and emphasizes a safe supply chain environment. The role reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound and outbound processes of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet daily production needs, providing timely communications, and supporting other warehouse operations and personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years warehouse experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Forklift experience
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve and problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
