The Operations Support Technician performs unit inventories to ensure appropriate stocking levels of all MEDIC units, including ambulance and logistics vehicles. They are responsible for checking off and restocking ALS and BLS units at the end of each shift to ensure operational readiness. This role assists with crew changes, communicates with the Operations Assistant during line-up assignments, and supports field crews with deployment needs. The technician also handles stock with accurate record-keeping using Agency’s Operative IQ software, delivers and picks up equipment and supplies, restocks equipment boxes, rebuilds supply bins, and manages the logging and distribution of medications, including controlled substances, while maintaining chain of custody and performing drug counts. Additionally, they assist with inspections for accreditation (CAAS), maintain a clean and organized workspace, document loss/damages of equipment, and maintain professional communication. Heavy lifting is required, up to 100 pounds. The incumbent is expected to work with and without direct supervision and is accountable for preparing ambulances for duty. Attention to detail is essential as oversights can directly affect patient care. Overtime may be considered an essential function of this role, and the technician may be called upon to bring supplies and equipment to an emergency scene.
