About The Position

As an Operations Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations within a growing power industry environment. You will work closely with planning, purchasing, production, and engineering teams to help ensure that production activities are aligned, efficient, and well-executed. Your work will directly support the reliable delivery of products that contribute to the stability and performance of the power grid. In this role, you will be involved in validating production plans, and monitoring daily operations to identify and resolve issues. You will contribute to improving processes, ensuring materials availability, and supporting production teams in meeting operational targets. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in manufacturing operations while contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives that support a sustainable energy future.

Requirements

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Experience in production control, planning, purchasing, or logistics
  • Proficiency in SAP (MM, PS, PP modules) and Microsoft Project
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in French with working knowledge of English

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in operations management, logistics, or a related field is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Validate and support production plans in collaboration with central planning to align capacity and priorities
  • Ensure material availability and inventory accuracy prior to production launches
  • Coordinate with purchasing to support timely supply of required components
  • Monitor production progress and identify deviations from plan
  • Prioritize activities and support resolution of operational issues on the shop floor
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, and production
  • Support the Production Supervisor and provide operational assistance as needed
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Replace supervisor as needed
