About The Position

The Fortress Operations Support Manager leads a team responsible for keeping day-to-day business operations across the United States running smoothly. The role focuses on improving workflows, coordinating across regional teams, and resolving operational issues. The manager oversees support functions for a service business, including daily administration of ERP functions, customer SOA and billing communications, asset management, and other duties assigned by the Fortress Operations Director.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of frac operations and the daily support needs of regional U.S. oilfield service operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and operational management skills.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Experience tracking metrics and using data to improve processes.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed to support regional operations and workshop demands.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, or cross-functional projects.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
• Interpersonal skills, including subordinate evaluation, motivation, and concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee placement of materials and tools in each region so resources are available for the next day’s operations.
• Control inventory costs and inventory management processes across the organization.
• Monitor tool usage and operational metrics, identify trends, and recommend cost-cutting and efficiency improvements.
• Help manage vendor relationships, tools, supplies, and budgets as needed.
• Coordinate billing workflows with each region and NOV finance and accounting.
• Administer ERP workflows, ensure they run smoothly across the organization, and escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee daily support activities and ensure requests, issues, and escalations are handled promptly.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement efficiency optimization projects while promoting continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties identified by the Fortress Operations Director to support daily operations.
