About The Position

The Operations Supervisor handles the daily operations of a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives and works cross-functionally with sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance, and accounts payable. The role focuses on exceptional customer service, developing carrier relationships, and ensuring the team consistently delivers positive results. The supervisor trains, mentors, and develops team members, books freight, and maintains KPI metrics while ensuring direct reports do the same.

This position is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of transportation-related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience.
• Solid management experience, including prioritizing work and performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid conflict resolution skills.
• Proven leadership and creative thinking skills, with the ability to effectively supervise, coach, and influence employees.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operations of the team.
• Develop and expand relationships with existing and new carriers.
• Train, mentor, and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives.
• Book freight and maintain KPI metrics, ensuring direct reports do the same.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance, and accounts payable.
