About The Position

The Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day supervision of Ready Mix drivers and reports to the Area Manager. The role includes supervising hourly employees, managing driver schedules and performance, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, coordinating driver training, and investigating accidents and incidents. The position requires effective communication, sound judgment, people-management skills, and the ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 5 years of experience with Ready Mix.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to manage by influence without authority.
Ability to collaborate across division lines and functions.
Teamwork and demonstrated leadership ability.
Strong independent problem-solving skills.
People-management skills and the ability to develop effective internal and external relations.
Disciplined and process-oriented.

Responsibilities

Supervise hourly employees, including hiring, directing, training, counseling, and disciplining.
Monitor drivers’ daily timecards.
Monitor drivers’ start and end times and manage time effectively.
Audit driver performance using KPIs.
Ensure compliance with the DVIR policy.
Monitor driver time off.
Conduct visual observations.
Coordinate driver training.
Manage DriveCam assignments.
Conduct weekly walk-arounds and safety meetings.
Conduct accident and incident investigations, including processing drug-screen protocols.
