About The Position

New Bedford Harbor Hotel is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and help ensure guests receive an exceptional experience while maximizing profitability. The role provides leadership, coaching, and operational support across the Harbor Hotel Front Desk, Housekeeping, and 222 Union Food & Beverage. The supervisor must be available and flexible to work across hotel departments as operational needs require. This is a full-time position requiring weekend and holiday availability, with pay of $20–$23 per hour.

Requirements

Availability and flexibility to work across all hotel departments as operational needs require.
Solid knowledge of the hotel and hospitality industry, gained through relevant experience and/or training.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, vendors, and management.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Commitment to exceptional guest service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for departments as assigned by the General Manager.
Monitor and analyze guest satisfaction scores with staff and management, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance the guest experience.
Ensure guest reviews are responded to promptly and professionally.
Respond promptly and effectively to guest and employee needs, concerns, and requests.
Assist with food and beverage operations as needed in the 222 Cafe.
Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
Help maintain smooth hotel operations wherever needed.
