About The Position

The Operations Supervisor II supervises facility operations, including formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources to meet business requirements. The role leads operational work within corporate strategies and policies, oversees purchasing and distribution activities, supports client operations while optimizing costs, and guides subordinate staff performance and development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently work in an operation with many variables and multishift or process-area responsibility, with substantial responsibility and no or very limited ongoing direct supervision; or have 5 or more years of experience with a track record of performance and demonstrated proficiency and ability to deliver results.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and other business areas.
• Working knowledge of computerized applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and email.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead work within corporate strategies, policy frameworks, and designs, and implement operational strategies established by corporate policies to meet short- and long-term goals.
• Supervise and lead the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal cost.
• Supervise and lead operational activities required for timely and efficient product distribution.
• Supervise and lead support for a client’s operation and optimize costs.
• Supervise, lead, and motivate subordinate staff; review and assess performance; and support professional development to optimize staff contributions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
