The Role We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Operations Superintendent to lead our B Crew efforts in Fairfax, Kansas. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven leader with a passion for learning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a manufacturing or management discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in automotive/JIT/sequencing assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess excellent leadership abilities, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
  • Up to 5% travel required; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, guide, manage, and prioritize all aspects of the Logistics Optimization Center’s operation.
  • Adhere to shipping schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead department meetings, support and promote continual improvement projects.
  • Manage the shift supervisors while directing the LOC operations in a manner that promotes high morale, teamwork, pride, productivity, and quality.
  • Communicate with Supervisors by continually updating them on information affecting the efficient and safe operation of the shop floor.
  • Comply to all company directed policies and procedures developed by the quality system.
  • Adhere to all quality requirements as outlined in the control plans.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with the customer that encourages open communication and promotes teamwork.
  • Foster a safety-first environment to achieve safety goals and objectives for the facility.
  • Comply with corporate, State, and Federal health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Adhere to and promote the Vision and Culture Operating Philosophy and observe the rules, regulation and direction of the Employee Handbook.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
