The Operations Summer 2027 Program offers internship opportunities for undergraduate students within RBCCM's business support and product areas in Operations. Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience, working alongside experienced professionals, and be given responsibilities related to the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) within the Capital Markets division, including exposure to its products and services. The program seeks well-rounded individuals with strong academic achievement, technical and analytical skills, diverse extracurricular activities, excellent communication and leadership qualities, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Interns will receive practical training, capital markets experience, and career mentorship over the 10-week program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
- Graduating December 2027 or Spring 2028
- Basic market knowledge and a demonstrated keen interest in the financial markets
- Strong analytical and personal skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environments
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas recommended: Customer Service, Accounting, Financial Planning/Analysis, Data Entry
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in different areas of the Futures Commission Merchant, working alongside experienced Operations professionals.
- Obtain hands-on experience working alongside experienced business professionals.
- Gain exposure to different areas of capital markets.
- Develop an understanding of RBC Capital Markets capabilities.
