Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or business analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean principles, continuous improvement, or operational excellence frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support initiatives with moderate supervision.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or a related regulated environment.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Comfort working in matrixed organizations and supporting leadership-level decision-making.
  • Proactive approach to identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute special projects as assigned by Operations Leadership to improve throughput, quality, or cost performance.
  • Assist in developing multi-year operations roadmaps in partnership with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams.
  • Conduct operational and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including capacity modeling, productivity assessments and cost optimization.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as process standardization, factory flow improvements, and performance management enhancements.
  • Track and report key operational metrics; identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to business cases for capital investments, technology adoption, and process changes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops or data-gathering sessions to evaluate operational challenges and define actionable solutions.
  • Support enterprise-level strategic planning cycles, including data consolidation, presentation development, and scenario analysis.
