About The Position

The Strategy Specialist is a role within Dayforce’s Strategy function and part of a small, high-performing team within the broader Strategy, Product, and Technology organization. Reporting to the VP, Strategy and Operations, this role helps develop grounded, evidence-based perspectives on the strategic questions most critical to the business. The Strategy Specialist contributes by maintaining the team’s fact base, building models, and synthesizing market and competitive insights across corporate and product strategy initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career strategy professional who brings precision, urgency, and strong analytical thinking to complex business challenges. Work is focused on structured problem-solving and analysis, with AI tools used extensively to accelerate research, synthesis, and insight generation.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and contribute to structured strategic analysis.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise executive-ready outputs.
  • Strong proficiency using AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and insight generation.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation development skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-output environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders, co-workers, managers and/or clients across the world.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HR technology, HCM, payroll, workforce management, or enterprise SaaS markets.
  • Exposure to corporate strategy, long-range planning, or market intelligence functions.
  • Experience supporting executive-level communication and strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with private equity-backed company environments and analytical rigor expectations.
  • Experience contributing to complex strategic workstreams in partnership with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve the team’s market and competitive fact base, including TAM analysis, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Build and update financial models and scenario analyses to support corporate and product strategy decisions.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to inform strategic opportunities and competitive dynamics.
  • Synthesize research, data, and market signals into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support stakeholder interactions by preparing materials, synthesizing feedback, and refining deliverables.
  • Contribute to strategic frameworks, KPI models, and fact books that support consistent decision-making.
  • Develop executive- and board-level presentations and narratives based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to support strategic initiatives and recommendation development.
