The Operations Specialist will direct and coordinate the daily operations of the department/facility in collaboration with leadership. This role involves establishing and monitoring business processes, identifying opportunities for improving cost and quality through in-depth analysis, and developing and implementing policies and procedures for improved utilization, quality, and operations. The specialist will ensure operations are efficient and cost-effective, resolve issues related to staffing, utilization of facilities and equipment, and develop and interpret policies and procedures for staff, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and regulatory requirements. The position promotes programmatic development, efficient work and patient flow, supply and instrument management, and a safe culture and environment. Responsibilities also include coordinating and managing facilities-related projects, monitoring timelines, providing direction for staff and vendors, and potentially managing the purchase or repair of facility equipment. Space management, allocation, and coordination to meet operational and strategic goals are key. Collaboration with IT and design for proper placement of items in clinical areas and assistance with area commissioning and decommissioning processes are also part of the role. Additionally, the role may involve defining and managing invention reporting for federal and private compliance, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), collaborating to capture revenue distribution models, and identifying opportunities to improve compliance with agreement obligations. Financial responsibilities include participating in budget development and management, assisting with annual operating budgets, implementing financial controls, analyzing financial performance, and providing oversight in revenue cycle management. Process and quality improvement involve identifying, developing, and implementing new methods and systems, improving data quality and usability, and streamlining reporting processes. Project management includes coordinating projects, collaborating on plans, budgets, and resource requirements, tracking progress, preparing reports, and acting as a liaison for systems and technology needs. Some administrative support may also be provided.
