About The Position

The Operations Clerk works as part of a team to track and record incoming business, create electronic and/or paper files, and record and submit required reports to management and the clearing firm. The position is also a support position for customer service and the investment advisors. Handling incoming calls and service issues in a prompt and courteous manner is an essential part of the clerk's duties, the ability to multitask across this range of tasks is critical.

Requirements

  • Must be detail oriented and accurate.
  • Must have excellent organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and reasoning skills.
  • Understanding of general accounting.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to handle travel to assigned offices.
  • Must possess proven sales skills, be proactive and generate opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives calls and handles issues from: customers, advisors, management, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of procedures and documents needed for account opening and editing.
  • Processes required documents for incoming and outgoing advisors with insurance carriers and mutual fund companies.
  • Compiles daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Works with the rest of the team to meet departmental goals and create efficiencies where applicable.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills.
  • Perform general administrative/clerical tasks.
