Operations Reporting & Analytics Intern

About The Position

The Reporting and Analytics team supports Insurance Operations by developing dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights to help leaders understand performance and make informed decisions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in operational reporting, data analysis, data validation, and business intelligence tools, partnering with reporting analysts and operational teams while learning about the processes and data that support Insurance Operations. The internship includes an assigned analytical project, with findings and recommendations presented to team members and leadership. Interns also have opportunities for professional development, social and networking events, volunteer opportunities, community involvement, and collaboration with other interns. Paid housing may be available to eligible interns. The internship runs from mid-May to early August. Qualified candidates must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for Fall term 2027. Interns may use AI-enabled tools to analyze information, streamline routine work, generate ideas, improve processes, or solve business challenges, while learning to use these tools thoughtfully and responsibly.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to data accuracy.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly present information and insights.
Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines, adapt to changing needs, and work effectively independently and collaboratively.
Curiosity and initiative, with willingness to learn new tools and processes, explore AI-enabled solutions, ask questions, and take ownership of assigned work.
Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for Fall term 2027.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to SQL, Tableau, or other data-visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Create, update, and validate recurring operational reports and dashboards using Tableau, TIMBR, Business Objects, and other reporting tools.
Gather and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Perform data-quality reviews and support ad hoc requests to ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and reliable.
Partner with reporting analysts and business teams to understand processes, reporting needs, and business requirements.
Maintain clear documentation for reports, processes, data sources, and project deliverables.
Complete an assigned analytical project and present findings and recommendations to team members and leadership.
