About The Position

This position is located in Response and Recovery, Response Directorate, Disaster Emergency Communication Division, Maynard MERS. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in directing the day-to-day activities of an assigned staff performing the duties of a 24 hour emergency watch. The ability to take independent actions when necessary and to retain composure and operate effectively under stress.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
Must successfully pass a background investigation.
Selective Service registration required.
Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
Providing oversight and assistance to deployed personnel at the deployed location.
Recommending staff selections and employee awards.
Reviewing work, resolving scheduling conflicts and counseling employees.

Providing information services and communications support to FEMA all-hazards programs.
Implementing procedures to monitor the status of emergency response equipment.
