About The Position

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. With a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees throughout the state, the Department is leading the way to A Safer Florida through the efficient and professional execution of its core mission: the issuance of driver licenses, vehicle tags and titles, and operation of the Florida Highway Patrol. This Selected Exempt Service (SES) Opportunity is within the DIVISION OF MOTORIST SERVICES, BUREAU OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND DRIVER SERVICES, specifically at the CVDS CALL CENTER HELP DESK.

Requirements

Knowledge of Commercial Driver Licensing program.
Knowledge of call center practices.
Knowledge of regulatory enforcement program.
Ability to conduct themselves professionally.
Ability to apply governmental policy and procedures.
Ability to motivate others.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Skill in using a computer.
Skill in writing reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

Ensure Commercial Driver License information is transmitted correctly between states.
Ensure incoming calls handled by the Commercial Driver License Help Desk are being handled appropriately with customer service and professionalism.
Develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, and administer policies and procedures for the Commercial Driver License Helpdesk.
