About The Position

The Operations Manager at Target’s Food Distribution Center leads teams to safely and efficiently execute operational plans. The role focuses on safety, leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and operational excellence. The manager builds an engaging and inclusive team environment, supports productivity and team development, and provides timely, specific, constructive feedback. The position requires urgency and coordination across functions to achieve performance and budget goals, while keeping teams informed.

The Operations Manager may develop and test new processes and methods to improve efficiency and optimize future process flow. The role includes identifying root causes, using a calculated-risk approach to test solutions, and helping teams meet business goals. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to engage and motivate others.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Good reasoning, conflict-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including mezzanine platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures, perform updates, and operate Distribution Center systems and programs, including traversing conveyor crossovers.
