About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This includes managing staff, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the efficiency of departmental operations. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage a team and a variety of maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including work order systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical).
  • Experience with public sector or school district maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and departmental policies.
  • Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs.
  • Implement and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
