About The Position

The Operations Manager role involves initiating, directing, and participating in community outreach programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing supervision and development opportunities for associates. This role also focuses on driving financial performance, coordinating job-related activities, and upholding company values and standards of ethics and integrity. The Operations Manager is expected to build high-performing teams, work collaboratively, and act with integrity to support Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company. They will serve customers and members by delivering results, making data-driven decisions, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and adaptability.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by holding associates accountable, analyzing reports, implementing controls, maintaining quality standards, and overseeing reviews.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing recognition.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following service models, managing customer initiatives, resolving complaints, and providing process improvement leadership.
  • Assists the store manager in driving financial performance by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, controlling expenses, and developing action plans.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting initiatives, building accountability, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards, modeling values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting sustainability efforts.
  • Serves customers and members by delivering results, putting the customer first, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Strives for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, and encouraging learning from mistakes.
