About The Position

This position is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. They will forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports to identify operational improvements. A key aspect is monitoring and ensuring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures. The Operations Manager will resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervise and manage associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, and identifying training and development needs. This role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating an inclusive workplace, and empowering associates to thrive. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.
  • OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities
