Operations Manager - PA
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of distribution from our Harrisburg facility, including receiving, inventory control, order selection, and shipping. This role also carries site-level responsibility for safety, security, maintenance, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a HANDS-ON leader with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, optimizing warehouse performance, and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability. This is a HANDS ON role requiring daily support of regular warehouse tasks.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of warehouse or distribution management experience.
- Proven success in leading teams and driving process improvement in a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP and WMS systems; experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely in a warehouse setting.
- Current forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports, MS Access, or similar reporting tools preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on achieving operational goals.
- Oversee warehouse functions including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Monitor key performance indicators and analyze operational data to improve efficiency and cost control.
- Maintain a safe and compliant workplace by enforcing safety protocols and operational standards.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting timelines and budget goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements through workflow evaluation and data-driven insights.
- Coordinate with Operations Managers at other locations to align strategy and share best practices.
