About The Position

The Operations Manager role involves initiating and directing community outreach programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing supervision and development opportunities for associates. This role also focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, driving financial performance, and coordinating job-related activities. The Operations Manager is expected to uphold company values, act with integrity, serve customers and members by putting them first, and strive for excellence through continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by holding associates accountable, analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance, overseeing safety and operational reviews, and developing action plans.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, listening, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, setting clear expectations, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving customer issues, and providing process improvement leadership.
  • Assists the store manager in driving financial performance by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, reviewing P&L statements, controlling expenses, developing action plans for financial deficiencies, and participating in budget forecasting.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance.
  • Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, and communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
  • Attracts and retains talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
