About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Operations Manager (Range Network) for a position on Kauai, HI, to provide technical based oversight and coordination of Network Engineering, Systems Administration, and other DoD 8140.01 information assurance (IA) support activities related to the PMRF range networks and computing environment. This Manager will provide system-wide troubleshooting and problem resolution in a live mission environment. Additional responsibilities include interfaces with senior-level management and program authorities on network integration and IA compliance requirements.

Requirements

Eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology, Range Network Management or related field.
Five (5) years supervisory experience.
Fundamental knowledge of Zero Trust
Fundamental knowledge of DOW Policy and Regulations
Fundamental knowledge of Virtualized and non-virtualized Windows environments
Knowledge of IT systems, to include Windows, UNIX, and networking concepts.
Experience in managing classified materials.
Experience using Maximo.
Possess excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and communication skills.
Must possess the following PC Skills: Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Eight years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree.
DoD 8570/8140 IAM I
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day activities in the Networking Engineering, Network Technicians and Systems Administration team by ensuring proper assignments with minimal scheduling conflicts.
Provide oversight and coordination of Network Engineering and Network System Administration for all network hardware associated with the classified and unclassified PMRF networks.
Oversee development of engineering, deployment and integration plans for new network systems.
Prepare and submit status reports including, but not limited to financial expenditure forecasts and actuals, technical briefs and manning status reports as required, to senior management and customers.
Provide monthly self-assessments to Government Task Managers and regular feedback on routine and non-routine data-calls.
Participate in contract proposals, negotiations and modifications as required.
Develop, revise and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Departmental Internal Procedures (DIPs).
Oversee the working group meetings including, but not limited to Networking Working Group Meetings and other contractual required meetings.
Interface directly with customer on all PMRF Networking/IA efforts.
Prepare Annual and Semi-Annual reports on direct employees.
Track, manage and budget for employee training requirements to ensure personnel are adequately trained and Single Points of Failure do not exist.
Assign alternative responsibilities as required to Range Networks personnel (I.E Building Managers, Fire Wardens, Property Account Managers etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned.
