About The Position

This role is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The Operations Manager will forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. They will prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements. This position involves monitoring and ensuring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role requires resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervising and managing associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, and identifying training and development needs. The Operations Manager will also teach, support, and model company policies and procedures, and participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas
  • OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
  • OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.

  • Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
