About The Position

This role involves driving and implementing the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. It includes forecasting staffing and workload, preparing and analyzing business reports for operational improvements, and ensuring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards. The position requires supervising and managing associates and leaders, providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, and identifying training needs. It emphasizes respecting individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating an inclusive workplace, and empowering associates. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.
OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
Prepare, review, and/or analyze business reports and use information to identify operational improvements.
Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
Supervise and manage associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training and development needs.
Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures.
Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
Create opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform.
