About The Position

This course focuses on the nature and context of Operations Management for both manufacturing and service sectors. It covers operations strategy and competitiveness, with an introduction to supply chain management including strategy, design, and just-in-time systems. The curriculum also includes planning, managing, and controlling operations, covering forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory control, Material Requirements Planning, and an introduction to Enterprise Requirement Planning. Additionally, it provides an introduction to quality management and control.

Requirements

  • Must have an MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in operations management.
  • Must demonstrate recent professional experience in operations management and knowledge of the area, as per the course description.
  • Must have teaching experience, preferably in the area of the course.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in operations management preferred.
  • Teaching experience preferably in the area of the course.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Operations Management (ADM3301D) in the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Deliver instruction in person.
  • Potentially adapt teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
