About The Position

Medline is seeking talented individuals for its Operations Management Development Program (OMDP), offering an accelerated career path for Operations Engineers. This program aims to provide early-in-career candidates with comprehensive experiences in distribution center operations, including warehouse management, inventory management, transportation/logistics, supply chain management, and customer service. The program typically lasts about two and a half years, designed to develop the skills necessary for advancement into operations management roles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Systems strongly preferred)
  • Internship experience in process improvement and/or project management is strongly preferred
  • Travel required 30% of the time
  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous improvement projects within Medline distribution centers using lean methodology.
  • Develop engineering labor standards and new processes.
  • Track and review monthly/annual KPIs with distribution centers.
  • Configure and maintain Medline’s labor management system (LMS) and warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Improve processes for Medline’s private fleet and implement new technology within Transportation/Logistics.
  • Aid in the evaluation of new technology solutions and support Medline’s business abroad within Project Management & Emerging Technology.
  • Oversee medium to large-scale projects, including vendor and budget management.
  • Design and serve as product owner for software enhancements within an agile framework for Operations Systems.
  • Support technology go-lives and existing software solutions.
  • Optimize key performance metrics by overseeing item movement through the warehouse in Operations Analytics.
  • Increase automation uptime and optimize forklift fleet management in Maintenance.
  • Work directly with Medline’s customers to improve processes in their environments within Supply Chain Optimization.
  • Enhance processes that improve inventory accuracy, minimize losses, and ensure customer order quality within Inventory Control.
