Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled at a Canadian university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Currently pursuing studies in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities based on customer needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data analysis and project work is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP, Power BI, and Access is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Independently take ownership of and complete projects of varying scope that have a direct impact on our logistics operations and the optimization of our business processes. For example, optimizing material transfers across our various sites.
  • Support the Manager, Logistics Operations in carrying out specific tasks related to ongoing projects, such as: Developing a document approval tracking tool.
  • Internally communicating a plan outlining key processes for P&WC’s external storage facilities, including service levels, points of contact, tools to be used, etc.
  • Participating in and taking ownership of the implementation of new performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide support for day-to-day operations.
