Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university or CEGEP throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • In the process of obtaining industrial hygiene diploma or any other college or university study relating to the Environment or health and safety
  • Sens of initiative, autonomy and problem-solving person
  • Great sense of observation

Responsibilities

  • Complete qualitative industrial hygiene assessments
  • Revise and develop personal protective equipment sheets
  • Participate in contaminant sampling (e.g. electromagnetic fields, noise, dust, solvents, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the health & safety team, the environment team, the ergonomics team and the wastewater treatment department on certain projects
  • Participate in the organization of a health, safety and industrial hygiene awareness day
  • Carry out risk analyzes in industrial hygiene and in ergonomics
  • Sample various physical and chemical contaminants
  • Carry out audits (e.g. respiratory protection program)
  • Support the health and safety team in connection with the industrial hygiene program
