About The Position

Canteen, part of Compass Group, is hiring an Operations Intern in the Rochester, Minnesota metropolitan area for its summer 2027 program. The internship is scheduled for May through August 2027, with dates customizable based on the student’s school schedule. The role is expected to involve approximately 30–40 hours per week; the requirements specify 32–40 hours based on business needs and program requirements. Pay is $18.00 per hour. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting Canteen’s operations and clients, learn industry practices, and contribute to real-world projects. Potential areas of exposure include marketing and customer service; retail and merchandising; branch operations and support services; finance, purchasing and supply chain; and profit and loss management. Interns may also learn about coffee and refreshments, vending services, and Avenue C Micro-Markets. Applicants must be enrolled in a college or professional hospitality or culinary program and meet their school’s GPA requirement for internships. College credit is not required; documentation can be provided if needed.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in a college or professional hospitality or culinary program; proof of enrollment is required.
