About The Position

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time Operations Coordinator for the Emergency Department in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The position provides daily operational support to the department and administrative support to its leader. The coordinator is accountable for office activities, administrative work, procurement, and business and financial activities. The role requires extensive knowledge of department operations, including educational programs, Sentara Healthcare systems, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. It supports patient care in a multidisciplinary environment and requires excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 2 years of clerical experience.
Extensive knowledge of department operations, including educational programs, Sentara Healthcare systems, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support for department operations.
Provide administrative support to the department leader.
Manage and be accountable for office activities.
Support administrative, procurement, and business/financial activities.
Support the delivery of patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.
