About The Position

Floor Coverings International of Milwaukee North is seeking a top-notch Operations Coordinator to join their team. This locally owned, residential flooring company specializes in selling and installing various flooring materials like carpet, hardwood, and vinyl. They are committed to providing the best possible flooring experience for customers in the Milwaukee area and beyond. The FCI Operations Coordinator is crucial for ensuring projects are installed to the level of expectation set during the sale, leading to positive customer experiences and efficient, profitable job production. This role requires a high level of customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organization, with some technical responsibilities. A keen eye for detail is essential for ensuring projects look great. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and take ownership of the role.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Customer Service Experience
Project Management Experience

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree or Some College
Home Improvement or Flooring Sales/Installation Experience: 1 year

Responsibilities

Familiarize yourself with the details of each project
Ensure that all product needed for job is ordered accurately
Consistently monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time
Communicate with customers and installers to coordinate installation dates
Set proper expectations with customers regarding the installation process and how it will affect their daily lives and the condition of their home during installation
Provide daily updates to the customer regarding the details of the installation
Complete job site visits daily for all projects to check in with installers and customers
Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job
Deliver on expectations contracted in the sales process
Walk the customer through job at completion and collect final payment
Solve problems as they arise
Resolve any customer complaints with urgency
Assist installation crews with whatever is necessary to finish projects and ensure a clean jobsite
Assist in ensuring accurate invoicing for each project
Work Home Show booths as needed (3 Spring, 1 Fall), which includes weekend hours
Keep warehouse and company vehicles organized and presentable
Be available to attend training seminars as needed
Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods
Work weekly and monthly to hit produced sales goals
Make decisions and act in accordance with FCI’s core values and mission
Field incoming calls and answer existing and potential customer questions
