About The Position

Job Purpose: Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use 10-key calculator, PC, photocopies, telephone and facsimile machine
  • 0-1 years of related job experience.
  • Warehouse experience required preferably working in a distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process deliveries through pick confirming, manifesting and ship confirming.
  • Compiles shipping/receiving reports for division use.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Assist with locator updates.
  • Maintains files of delivery tickets, POD’s and OP Receivers.
  • Helps with disposition of product.
  • Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
