Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing industry, particularly in managing batch processes and handling hazardous liquid chemicals.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced understanding of safety protocols, including CAPA tools, lock-out/tag-out, confined space, and HAZMAT procedures.
  • Familiarity with SOP, GMP, and chemical procurement standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze and interpret technical data.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree, especially in Chemistry, with a solid understanding of chemical processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for procurement and production planning, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as creating/modifying purchase orders and maintaining the Documented Work Process (DWP).
  • Track production efficiency metrics, prepare reports, and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Act as the Plant Buyer, managing MRP and raw material ordering.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, label printing, and compliance with USEPA and EPRCA reporting.
  • Update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support year-end inventory processes.
  • Conduct cycle counting and monitor inventory levels for high-moving products.
  • Investigate production variances and enter adjustments in SAP.
  • Provide backup support for the Director of Manufacturing and generate weekly reports on operations.
  • Assist with warehouse and other operational functions as assigned.
