About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to support daily order control, receiving, inventory management, and shipping operations within the PE department. In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure customer deliveries are processed accurately and on time while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing setting and enjoys working collaboratively with shipping, production, and inventory teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred or required upon hire).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and policy manuals.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate verbally.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipping, receiving, order control, and inventory activities to support timely customer deliveries.
  • Prepare shipping labels, organize bills of lading (BOLs), and verify shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, stock locations, and overall warehouse organization.
  • Process goods issues and inventory transactions within the system.
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Schedule shipments with third-party carriers and freight providers; process parcel shipments through carrier systems.
  • Support UPS and FedEx shipping operations.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and assist with freight claims, inventory status updates, and shipment inquiries.
  • Inspect material handling equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership.
  • Operate forklifts (including stand-up forklifts), pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Utilize computer systems to enter and retrieve shipping, receiving, production control, and inventory data.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Support the Shipping Coordinator and Production team as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
