About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling stock and shipments, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great store experience. The role contributes to Guitar Center’s mission of nurturing lifelong musicians and creating inclusive, customer-first environments. Successful associates collaborate effectively, focus on customer service, show initiative, and manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment. They use retail technology and equipment, follow protocols, and help protect store assets and people.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
Customer-service focus and ability to connect meaningfully with customers.
Initiative, willingness to learn quickly, and interest in learning about the entire business.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn and use retail systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
