About The Position

Friends University is seeking to fill the Operations Assistant for the department of Graduate Workshops position in Wichita Kansas. The Operations Assistant for the department of Graduate Workshops includes handling education and online day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Position requires performing a variety of tasks related to customer service, Friends University computer applications, communication, data entry, and correspondence. Key skills include attention to time constraints and details, critical thinking and problem solving, excellent verbal and written skills, and social grace. Support, as needed by the Graduate Workshops Director. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year office support experience required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
  • Spreadsheet (Excel) and database experience are required.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Aptitude in technology is required.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment (telephone, copier, etc.) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in report development preferred.
  • A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handling education and online day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Performing a variety of tasks related to customer service, Friends University computer applications, communication, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Supporting the Graduate Workshops Director as needed.
  • Maintaining confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Effectively communicating via phone and email with accuracy.
  • Working with education clientele, relying on previous work experience and judgment to accomplish goals and satisfaction needed for client.
  • Contributing to team effort, demonstrating problem-solving skills, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment with patience.
