This is an internal agency opportunity for current DJJ employees only. The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is committed to providing the Right Service, the Right Way, at the Right Time. This position is located in the North Region Detention, Ocala Regional Office. The Operations and Program Manager will supervise staff providing administrative support services to various detention centers in the assigned region, focusing on human resources and fiscal functions. The role involves representing the regional director, creating and monitoring work assignments, and providing mentoring and technical assistance to Superintendents on administrative matters. Key responsibilities include reviewing compliance with policies and procedures related to annual goals, budgets, operating systems (JJIS, Sharepoint, Tableau), and corrective action plans. The manager will also review quarterly reports, food service, medical, and mental health services, and monitor personnel matters such as recruitment, discipline, grievances, FMLA, FSWP, and Worker’s Comp. Regular site visits to detention centers are required, along with participation in departmental workgroups and serving as the regional representative for inter-branch coordination. The position may also involve acting as the regional director in their absence.
