About The Position

The Operations & Marketing Coordinator plays a dual strategic and administrative role as the operational backbone and the welcoming face of the Capitol Applied Learning Labs (CALL), Georgetown University. This position is uniquely positioned at the intersection of student engagement, community building, and operational strategy. Beyond managing daily HR, financial, and spatial operations, the Coordinator serves as a key brand ambassador, actively fostering a vibrant, inclusive CALL community. This front-facing role engages directly with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, practitioners, and campus-wide partners. The ideal candidate pairs a passion for community building and student success with a meticulous, high-level attention to detail necessary for managing academic contracts, budgets, and public-facing digital media.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2–3 years of professional work experience, ideally in higher education, student affairs, hospitality, or a fast-paced, start-up-like environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of handling high-stakes tasks like contract tracking, website maintenance, and financial reconciliation flawlessly.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; comfort serving as a high-energy, front-facing representative to diverse audiences including students, executive leadership, and external practitioners.
  • Experience utilizing traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media platforms to build brand engagement.
  • Proficiency with WordPress (or equivalent content management systems) for website maintenance and updates.
  • Experience working with database management software for data tracking and operational organization.
  • Experience with using Canva, Adobe, and/or other marketing platforms for digital content creation.
  • Literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and Google Suite applications, like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and welcoming presence to actively build a vibrant, inclusive CALL community among prospective/current students, alumni, faculty, and external practitioners.
  • Meticulously maintain and update the CALL website and blogs using WordPress, ensuring all public-facing information and digital brand assets are accurate and engaging.
  • Partner with the Provost’s Office to execute and track complex faculty and practitioner contracts, while managing onboarding and HR transactions for staff and independent contractors.
  • Author, design, and distribute digital marketing campaigns, newsletters, social media content, and printed collateral to drive student recruitment and program visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with university registrar and scheduling teams to coordinate course registration, manage classroom scheduling, and facilitate seamless student enrollment.
  • Support budget planning, track instructional costs, manage the unit ProCard under strict university compliance policies, and perform monthly budget reconciliations with the MCFO.
  • Supervise, hire, and approve hours for a team of 5+ undergraduate student workers, while managing physical office operations and supply procurement.
